SikaAxson Enters the Market as the Leading Supplier 
in the Tooling and Composites Sector

After the successful acquisition of Axson Technologies by Sika AG in March 2015, the newly formed entity SikaAxson now enters the market as the leading supplier in the tooling and composites sector. With an annual turnover of approximately €130 million and 450 employees, SikaAxson is one of the leading manufacturers of polyurethane and epoxy resins.

The core competencies of SikaAxson, which will officially start operations on  January 1, 2016, are focused on block materials and model pastes, vacuum casting resins and RIM systems, composite and lamination systems, EP and PUR casting resins, elastomer casting resins as well as structural adhesives. This comprehensive product portfolio in conjunction with a strong, world leading developer of high performance resins creates significant added value and synergies for customers and partners.

Sika Acquires Axson Technologies

Following the recent press release, we take great pleasure in announcing that Sika AG has acquired the worldwide activities of Axson Technologies. The joining of these two very strong and complementary businesses will enable us to offer our customers an even wider selection of products with an improved service network.  From May 1st Morten Muschak will lead this new business unit and all Sika Tooling and Composite business and Axson Technologies business will report directly to him.

There will now be a period where the new team will work internally to understand, assess and develop the best strategy to take our business to the next level in conjunction with meeting our customers’ requirements. We would like to assure you that during this period business will continue as usual.

Sponsoring the Aero Team ILK AGH at the SAE Aero Design Competition

Axson Technologies is a proud sponsor of the design project initiated by AERO TEAM ILK AGH – a team of students from the AGH University in Poland.  They will participate in the international SAE Aero Design competition in Van Nuys, CA on April 24-26th, 2015, where teams design and build remote-controlled airplanes to meet mission requirements.  Axson Technologies has supplied the team with LAB 975 machinable board and H8973/GC15 adhesive for their aircraft pictured below.

Axson US, Inc. and Tenax USA Join Forces in Strategic Partnership for the
Wood and Stone

Axson US, Inc. and Tenax USA announced today that they have entered into a strategic partnership for Axson’s Wood and Stone line of products. Under the terms of this agreement, Axson Technologies - a division of Axson US, Inc. - will continue to manufacture all products under the Wood and Stone brand, while Tenax USA will have exclusive sales and distribution rights for that product line.

Axson Acquires CASS Polymers

Axson has acquired CASS Polymers of Michigan, Inc.  This acquisition will further strengthen the position of AXSON as a global leader in high performance polymers formulations. 
CASS polymers of Michigan Inc. will be integrated into Axson US, Inc. and Axson Technologies will manage the acquired business and brands, which include Tool Chemical Composites (TCC), ADTECH Plastic Systems, ADTECH Marine Systems, and SPARTITE.
The acquisition fortifies the focus of Axson Technologies on providing high performance polymer formulations to the tooling, prototyping, structural adhesive and composite markets globally and in North America, more specifically.  Axson will continue to offer the Tool Chemical Composites (TCC), ADTECH, ADTECH Marine and Spartite lines which include well known products such as Model Plank®, Pattern Plank®, DiePlank®, Fixture Plank®, Probuild and other ADTECH Marine products.  The current Axson Technologies product line also includes Prolab, Lab 850, SC Modeling Paste, Adekit Adhesives, PX Series prototyping urethanes, APF Series polyester putties and the Wood & Stone Company products.
